Inspirating exhibtion

Yesterday I have visit with friends the wonderful exhibition in Zons of 3. European Quilt-Triennale ( Heidelberg ).
It was raining cats and dogs and there was no change to take pictures. In Museum it's forbidden and outside no weather.
The collection is wonderful and I'm proud that there are many of my friends in and our SAQA member Linda Colsh ( B.) won the 1. place.
Congratulation to all. You are good representants of Europe.

On other stop was in Krefeld in the German textile Museum where is hold on exhibition of African textile.
Textile from Ghana ,Togo , Nigeria, Cameroon.
Most obvious for me is the strict geometrical orientated ornament woven 11 cm about 4,5 " wide strokes.

This is one of the wonderful clothes for men. Rhythmic of the Fabric is like a far sound of a tam tam.
The warm and bright colors a reflection of Africa.

The blue dyed indigo Adire aleke kanga of the Yoruba shows the high artistic level of indigan populations.
This exhibition in Krefeld is one absolute must if you love Africa like me.
