Journal Quilt

Another happy dance today. Two of my journal Quilt from Journal Quilt project in Houston will be published in Karey Besenhen's book. One is this of my seri Greece mythology .
This one shows Jason and the Argonauts. The king of Iolcus send Jason on an impossible mission of finding the Golden Fleece. Jason went with his friends on the ship Argo on his impossible journey. We all strive for impossible dreams or golden fleece and for other better places.
I created a drawing of boat, machine embroidered and fused the image .Than machine quilted onto stripped background.

The other Journal Quilt is from January 2006 and can't be published jet.
