Embroidery in Zamora






The Meseta is a high and flat plain in the center of Spain . It's 600 to 800 m high. Endless fields of grain , wine and in the eastern region pine-trees woods and grassland. Spain have a lot of merino sheeps.

Wool has his own tradition in Spain. The winters are cold and the summers hot.








Wool and silk embroidery has a long tradition in the region of Zamora. The colors are bright and have his own iconographic.

The handicraft of embroidery is on a high level. Wonderful bedspreads are in wool embroidery.
It was during the siesta that we saw this jewels in the shop windows. The door was closed.
