Inspiration Lyon

Lyon is a please with a lot of inspiration for a artist. Especial when your material is fabric you are there in the right please.
This city has a long tradition in silk fabrication and dying.
The reason for my trip was the Quilt Expo . Often I had driven throw the city on rout to the south. Never stopped there because the sun more in the south was waiting for the first sun bath .
I never expected that this big city was such a wonderful please to bee.
This time we come on sunday to have enough time for site-seeing.
The two rivers Rhone and Saon are coming together in Lyon. This give a special touch to this wonderful old town.
Each corner is pitoresc .
The romans had there the first settlement and till our days they are there in the two amphitheaters present.
In the middle-age Lyon was very important and rich with the silk production.
Now Lyon is a real important city with his new Congress centre.
And what did you think about the exquisite food from the

Nouvel Cuisine from Paul Baucuse? This is a revolution in the gastronomy. The small Bouchons ( restaurants ) are plenty in the old centre. Lyon is the main-centre of gastronomy.
The french kitchen is the best in Europe .
On other time I will tell about the Market hall of Lyon.

All the colors of the food, the deserts, the wonderful wines and other drinks are like pictures.
When you don't love art, come to Lyon and be happy there. There is such a variety of different things to do, so you never get tired of this city.
